Community organizer
​
 Hourly rate of $22.61 to $29.25$, depending on experience.
 Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week).
​Unionized position
RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent plans, organizes and hosts awareness activities to mobilize community members in a culturally secure appropriation process.

 
Concretely, your main challenges will be to : 
 
 Collect and analyse information regarding the problems encountered, the strengths and the needs of the target population. 
 Develop a community activity calendar based on the data collected that will provide the necessary support of greater social autonomy.
 Actively participate in the creation of support groups, workshops, sharing circles, etc.
 Mobilize the multidisciplinary team around issues and realities experienced by the community. 
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
Your profile 
  • College’s degree in social work or human sciences, combined with 6 months to 1 year of work experience in a similar field.
  • Hold a valid driver licence is mandatory.
  • Work experience and-or knowledge related to the reality and issues in the Indigenous environment.
  • Great knowledge of computer and technological tools (Office suite software).
  • Good knowledge of French and English.
