Clinical Counsellor in first-line activity
 Hourly rate of $35.17 to $45.49, depending on experience.
 Reimbursement of professional dues.
 Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week).

RESPONSIBILITIESThe incumbent promotes and collaborates on the clinical orientations and philosophy of the Native Friendship Centre’s intervention preferred approaches with team members.
 
Concretely, your main challenges will be to : 

  •  Ensure coordination and assignment of cases according to the respective loads of every team member.
  •  Guide every team member in the preparation, writing, and evaluation of their cases with required document in respect of the clinical process.
  •  Support team members who are dealing with a complex situation or professional issue, by hosting clinical committees or updating clinical tools.
  •  Participate in the identification or relevant training and skills development.
  •  Welcome, orientate, and promote the integration of new team members.
  •  Plan, organize, and host clinical referral committees.  
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
Your profile 
  • Master’s degree in psychoeducation, social work, social sciences, or equivalence, combined with 2 to 5 year of work experience in a similar field.
  • Work experience and-or knowledge related to the reality and issues in the Indigenous environment.
  • Complete and accurate knowledge of clinical standards, and practices.
  • Great knowledge of computer and technological tools (Office suite software).
  • Being a member of a professional order, an asset. 
  • Great knowledge of French and English.
