Respite Centre Attendant-facilitator

Under the supervision of the services manager, and in close cooperation with the entire personnel of this sector, the attendant-facilitator contributes to the creation of a safe respite centre for persons in situations of homelessness/vagrancy, in complementarity with other local resources. The attendant sees to the proper conduct of activities and ensures everyone’s compliance with the code of living.The position incumbent participates in outreach work in close collaboration with the social intervention workers.

Willie’s Place / Nigan is a respite centre with a high level of acceptability for men and women in situations of homelessness, vulnerability and disconnected from society, their family and community.
The objective of Willie’s Place / Nigan is to reinforce the safety net surrounding highly vulnerable persons through a culturally relevant and safe intervention approach as well as assistance along the paths specific to their needs.
