Respite Centre Attendant-facilitator

YOUR BIG CHALLENGES 
  • Welcome users with courtesy. 
  • Get involved in the animation of activities. 
  • Ensure the proper conduct of activities and compliance with the code of living.
  • Collaborate to the collection of statistics for our sponsors.
  • Help to create a safe place to rest. 

REQUIREMENTS
 
Your profile 
  • Hold a high school degree combined with one year of work experience in a similar field.
  • Have work experience and/or knowledge related to the reality of First Nations communities.
  • Work on a flexible schedule in the evenings and on weekends.
 
Your skills
  •  Be bilingual. 
  •  Exercise tact and diplomacy.
  •  Be self-reliant, committed, and demonstrate initiative. 
  •  Capable to stay calm in crisis situation.
 
OUR BENEFITS

  •  Hourly rate from $16,05 to $20,36, depending on experience.
  •  Flexible schedule and summer schedule.
  •  Work-family balance valued.
  •  Up to 2 days of sick leave.

Willie’s place/ Nigan is a respite centre with a high threshold of social acceptability for men and women in situations of homelessness, vulnerability, and disconnect from society, their family and community. The objective is to reinforce the safety net surrounding highly vulnerable persons through a culturally relevant and secure intervention approach as well as assistance along the paths specific to their needs.
