Maintenance and service agent 
  • Hourly rate of $20.41 to $25.38, depending on experience. 
  • Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week). ​
RESPONSIBILITIES 
The incumbent carries out the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and buildings as per the schedule for the various sites of the VNFC. 
 
Concretely, your main challenges will be to :  

  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce the risk of major maintenance or repairs.  
  • Identify deficiencies related to the aging of buildings and make appropriate recommendations to the person in charge. 
  • Repair any minor breakdown such as plumbing, electrical systems, etc. 
  • Accompany contractors during maintenance and repairs to buildings and equipment such as ventilation, elevator, alarm system, etc. 

REQUIREMENTS 

Your profile  
  • Vocational studies’ degree in general building maintenance, combined with 2 to 5 year of work experience in a similar field. 
  • Work experience and-or knowledge related to the reality and issues in the Indigenous environment. 
  • Ability for manual work. 
  • General knowledge of the building code and related standards. 
  • Basic knowledge of French and English.
