Service Coordinator - Transport

The Transport Service Coordinator plans and organises the various activities related to the VDNFC Transport Services, including medical transport.  He or she ensures that all Services Canada eligibility criteria are met while offering an approach based on client services. The candidate offers and approach directed toward good client service. He or she ensures quality services and develops the tools necessary to meet the various transportation needs.    
 
Role and responsibilities:
  • Welcome clients, answer their calls and analyse their requests;
  • Plan and coordinate the medical transport services (plane, bus, taxi, van, personal vehicle) for community members in keeping with the guidelines established by Health Canada;
  • Plan the lodging and organise the transport of community members to and from the location of their appointments and their lodging facilities;  
  • Provide an excellent client services at all times;  
  • Manage client files, production of statistics and administrative reports;  
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure the efficient functioning of the service; 
  • Plan and follow-up on driver schedules.

Your profile:
  • Hold a college diploma in administration, secretarial studies or accounting and at least three-years relevant experience;   
  • Work experience with Aboriginal clientele;  
  • Good knowledge of Excel; 
  • Be bilingual (spoken and written);
  • Have excellent organisational skills;  
  • Be tactful, calm and patient; 
  • Exercise good judgment; 
  • Offer an approach directed toward client experience.
