DRIVER
Full time - permanent position (35 hours/week)
DUTIES 
Under the supervision of the transportation services coordinator, the job incumbent drives the Val-d’Or Native Friendship Centre’s (VDNFC) vehicle to transport users of the services on an established schedule. The driver ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle and provides quality and confidential services at all times. He meets the maintenance needs of CAAVD's infrastructure.
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
Qualifications 
  • Hold a high school diploma, SSD, combined with one (1) year relevant job experience;  
  • Have a valid Class 4B driver’s license (transport 8 passengers);
  • Must have good knowledge of urban Aboriginal realities and/or possess work experience in an Aboriginal work environment. 
 
Aptitudes and skills
  •  Be responsible, self-sufficient, reliable and punctual;
  •  Demonstrate good communication skills and empathy; 
  •  Be bilingual;
  •  Knowledge of an Aboriginal language is considered an asset.
